San Francisco’s Refuse Separation Ordinance

Proper waste sorting is now mandated under San Francisco’s Refuse Separation Ordinance #180646 as of 7/1/19. The Office of Sustainability is offering free training to all hospital departments and units to help UCSFH employees comply with the new law. Please invite .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to conduct either:

  • a 20min training at your staff meeting (ppt presentation + interactive sorting activity),
  • shift training to provide on-the-ground education and outreach during your day and night shifts, and/or
  • a walkthrough of your unit to identify challenges with waste sorting
